Over the past decade, best-selling author Anna Lappé – respected for her work on food politics, sustainability, and social change – has travelled the world meeting with farmers, scientists and citizen activists who are creating alternatives to industrial agriculture. Join the San Francisco Waldorf School for an informative evening with Anna as she debunks myths about sustainable food and farming, discusses the crisis of industrial agriculture (including genetically modified organisms, GMOs) and shares the story of solutions – local, state and national policies as well as community-based efforts that are fostering sustainable and fair food systems across the country.
Anna's talk will be followed by the screening of short documentary and animated films called Food MythBusters: The Real Story About What We Eat.
